Smashbox On The Rocks

 

I know December seems like such a long time ago but as i am just starting my blog i thought i would write a review on this Smashbox On The Rocks Lip Gloss set that i brought after Christmas. Over the festive period i was obsessed with having dark lips and when i saw the shades of these glosses i had to get them as i thought they were winter perfect. 

There were five shades in the set Legendary, Azelea, Jewel, Gilt and Pout. I hadn't tried Smashbox lip glosses until i purchased this set but i was obsessed with them over the festive period. There are certain shades that i have been getting more wear out of , Legendary and Jewel were probably my favorite out of the set. The two darker glosses have great pigmentation in them and the colour is long lasting which i was impressed with. Jewel is a really gorgeous dark nude shade, i personally think it will be a perfect shade for this time of year as i am slowly drifting away from the dark lip and nearing ready for spring. The other two light shades are more of a clear/glitter gloss once they are applied onto the lip like Pout could be great to use over a lipstick that you want to make glossy. 

All in all i was very impressed with these glosses and i love the packaging. Once applied the gloss doesn't feel sticky so in the wind you don't get that whole hair stuck to lip gloss drama, there's nothing worse in this British weather.
